Come and find out more about the development of the art of hairdressing and the different techniques and hairstyles used over the course of history whilst marvelling at historical equipment and instruments such as razors, haircutting devices, hair dryers and a multitude of items used by wigmakers and hairdressers in days gone by. The museum is also home to an original historical hairdressing salon dating back to the year 1929.
Admission to the museum is free but donations for the preservation of the museum are gratefully received!
Group visits and guided tours can be arranged in advance by telephone.
The museum also has wheelchair and pushchair access.
In May 2009, the members of the hairdressing association Haar-Verband e.V. officially opened the first hairdressing museum in the German city of Magdeburg. Come and visit the museum and delve into the historical world of hairstyling.
