Participation in the panel is free of charge and non-binding. You can end your participation in the panel at any time without stating the reason for your decision
The Magdeburg Residents’ Panel uses online surveys or paper copies of surveys on request. In the case of paper surveys, participants’ names and addresses are separated from the questionnaire itself, which is given a code number. Online participants use the online form to register for the Magdeburg Residents’ Panel and invitations to the surveys are sent to the e-mail address specified in their form. Participants’ addresses and other personal details are also separated from the survey data in the case of online surveys. Participants’ address details are only used to inform them about surveys and to reward them for their involvement in the panel. This also applies to repeated surveys and follow-up surveys.
The data collected is only used for the purpose of the Magdeburg Residents' Panel and its accompanying research activities. No individual details from these surveys whatsoever are passed on to third parties. The results of the surveys are only published in anonymous and aggregate form. This means that nobody can use these results to find out which individuals provided which details. The answers to survey questions therefore cannot be traced back to individual survey participants.
You can end your participation in the Magdeburg Residents’ Panel at any time by simply sending a blank e-mail with the subject "Cancellation of participation in the Magdeburg Residents’ Panel” (in German: “Beendigung der Mitgliedschaft im Bürgerpanel”) or writing us a brief letter stating your desire to leave the panel. We will then delete your details.
