Campsite Kolumbus Lake - Plötzky

Kolumbussee

The Kolumbus Lake is an old quarry which was filled with water after work ceased. It came into being in 1932 when quartzite rocks were quarried in the region. The lake covers a surface of approx. 10,000m² and the maximum depth measures 30m. It is situated in a beautiful forest with numerous bungalows close by.

A large campsite attracts many enthusiastic campers from near and far. They have the opportunity to stay for a couple of days, but also for a longer period of time. The campsite is covered by many trees which offer shade on sunny days. The Kolumbus Lake is surrounded by holiday bungalows, a gelateria and a leisure hall with a restaurant.
